The Weidner Center for the Performing Arts announces the 2015-2016 Stage Doors Education Series, providing learning opportunities for students traveling from over 61 cities and 23 counties throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
The 2015-2016 series kicks off in November 2015 and extends through April 2016, featuring 10 titles and a total of 19 performances. This season brings to the Weidner Center national and international touring shows, along with a special production by the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay Theatre department. Programs are selected to complement current classroom curriculum with creative and imaginative learning, critical thinking opportunities and live performance experiences. Performance-specific study guides are provided to help educators integrate show topics into classroom activities.
The Weidner Center continues its educational partnership with The Children’s Museum of Green Bay. Students attending select performances have the option to participate in a full day of activities, interactive learning and special hands-on projects related to each show. Four events in the series, Dog Loves Books, Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny, Skippyjon Jones Snow What and Chicken Dance are part of the program this season.
The release of the Stage Doors Education Series schedule serves as an exciting prelude to the June announcement of the 2015-2016 Weidner Center Performing Arts Season lineup.
The following is the full 2015-2016 Weidner Center Stage Doors Education Series schedule. All shows are at 10:00 am and 12:30 pm with the exception of Cirque Mechanics Pedal Punk with one performance at 12:30 pm.

The annual Stage Doors Education Series is a program of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and is made possible by the generous support of the George F. How To Make Reservations for the 2015-2016 Series:
All information about the 2015-2016 Stage Doors Education Series at the Weidner Center can be found online at www.WeidnerCenter.com. Reservations from schools and home school families are being accepted now via mail, fax or online. Series brochures will be mailed to educators in September. Show tickets are $7, package tickets with area partners are $10, and the collaborative performance with the UW – Green Bay Theatre department of Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse will have a $5 ticket price.
