The 2015-16 Performing Arts Season starts October 9!

(Green Bay, WI) – Friday, October 9 kicks off the 2015-2016 Performing Arts Season with improv comedy and ends the month with classic 60s hits.  Comedy, country a cappella, traditional Celtic music, a Broadway musical showstopper, and a 60s classics fan favorite vocal group all light up the stage for audiences to enjoy.

Whose Live Anyway?                                                             Friday, October 9, 7:30pm

Whose Live Anyway? will be at the Weidner Center October 9 at 7:30pm starring Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis, and special guest Joel Murray from the TV show “Mad Men.”  A night of improv, comedy, and audience participation that will include games from the Emmy® Nominated hit TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” and many new games not seen before.

Home Free                                                                         Saturday, October 10, 7:30pm

The country a cappella group Home Free will be on tour in support of their new album entitled Country Evolution.  These winners of the NBC TV show “The Sing-off” will display their well-known performance energy on their Don’t It Feel Good Tour on October 10 at 7:30pm at the Weidner Center.

Celtic Woman                                                                    Wednesday, October 14, 7pm   

On October 14, 7pm, at the Weidner Center Celtic Woman will be celebrating their 10th anniversary alongside a new vocalist, Éabha McMahon, and special guests The Celtic Tenors.  Touring with Celtic Woman is a 15-member ensemble including Irish dancers, bagpipers, and a full band playing traditional Celtic instruments.  They will be singing classic Irish songs like “Danny Boy” and “Mo Ghile Mhear” as well as contemporary songs like “You Raise Me Up.”

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat         Tuesday, October 20, 7:30pm

A family musical created by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be at the Weidner Center on October 20 at 7:30pm.  This version has been updated for a 2015 audience by blending pop, country, and rock into the biblical story while maintaining the classic original’s wit and songs.

The Midtown Men                                                              Tuesday, October 27, 7:30pm

The Midtown Men, a vocal group inspired by the classic songs of the 1960s, is composed of four stars from the Broadway hit Jersey Boys, Tony® Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard, and Tony® Award nominee J. Robert Spencer.  On October 27 at 7:30 pm Midtown Men will be playing at the Weidner Center singing such hits as “Ain’t That Peculiar” by Marvin Gaye and “Can’t Buy Me Love” by The Beatles.
