Green Bay Symphony Orchestra
Saturday, February 2 · 7:30pm
Tension. Terror. Suspense. All of this, and more, can be found in the emotional overture to one of Mozart’s great, all-time masterpieces, the opera "Don Giovanni." Equally temperamental is the clarinet concerto of Danish composer, Carl Nielsen. Hailed by the Miami Herald as “refreshing” and an instrumentalist with “supple dexterity and lyric charm”, clarinetist Jerry Simas is featured as soloist. Inspired by a trip to Scotland in 1829, Mendelssohn’s “Scottish” Symphony has evolved ingeniously into one of his crowning symphonic glories.
Upcoming Green Bay Symphony Orchestra Events: Don't miss Overture! on March 9 and Beethoven's Eroica on April 13.
