Full of catchy melodies…and a few surprises, Rossini’s overtures are some of the most enjoyed works in the orchestral library. Heavily indebted to the writing manner of Mozart before him, Schubert’s youthful 5th symphony foreshadows the new Romantic spirit he is known for today. Equally influential on subsequent composers, Beethoven’s grandly heroic 3rd Symphony closes the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra’s 99th season, catapulting the orchestra towards a centennial celebration!
