Beginnings – Tomás Dominguez, tenor

Tomás Dominguez is a classically trained tenor with a MM from DePaul University, where he studied with Metropolitan Opera tenor Michael Sylvester, and BM from UW-Eau Claire. Warren Gerds, theater critic in the Green Bay area says, “Dominguez owns a clear, crisp, classically trained voice…” He was heard recently as George Banks in St. Norbert College Summer Stage’s “Mary Poppins” and portraying Jimmy Reno in Opera for the Young’s production of “The Elixir of Love.” He performs locally and teaches private voice lessons in Green Bay, as adjunct faculty at the UW-Green Bay, Fine Arts Institute at East High, and at the Birder Studio of Performing Arts in De Pere, WI.

The recital will feature the “beginnings” of works by Fauré, Dvorak, Mozart, Richard Adler, Michael Torke and Bernstein. Dominguez will be joined by Pam Heiser, piano and Victoria Dominguez, Connor Zuber, Linda Feldman and Aleksandr Gerhartz.
