For the first time in nearly 20 years, The Weidner has a fully operational in-house ticket office – and that is a BIG DEAL. The Weidner Ticket Office is officially a thing – helpful staff, regular hours, direct customer service… the whole works folks.

What is bound to be a game changing operation for The Weidner, or new ticketing system also sets a new benchmark for what we can provide to you as an arts and culture institution.

Our on-going mission at The Weidner is to eliminate barriers and build bridges to provide access to the arts in the Greater Green Bay Area. Access being the key word. As true as the benefits of the arts to a community may be, it is also true that there are real barriers to experiencing them.

What does that have to do with The Weidner Ticket Office? Great question!

With our new in-house ticketing operation, The Weidner is now able to take some big chances on presenting world class artists with some experimental ticketing options… where YOU get to decide the ticket price. We’re calling it “Pay What You May” and our first big swing at it is a magical one!

This February, The Weidner is so pleased to welcome The Acting Company’s National Touring production of William Shakespeare’s fantastical romantic comedy, A Midsummer Nights Dream.

Tickets On-Sale Now – Pay What You May

Why this? Whether you’re a lifelong lover of Shakespeare or someone who has never made it past “Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day,” (if you know you know). The magic of live theatre should be accessible to all. “Pay What You May” allows you to choose what you pay for your ticket(s), so cost is never a barrier to experiencing the Bard.

Whether you’re just curious or an avid devotee.

Whether you know every line or just want to see what all the fuss is about, this is your invitation to experience professional Shakespeare without pressure.

No hidden fees, and no judgement – it’s drama without all the drama.

If you are able to contribute more, you are helping keep performances like this possible (and accessible) to others. It is theatre powered by the community and your presence is the most valuable currency.

So… will we see thee this February? Reserve your spot, choose your price, and let the dream begin.

A rapturous, fresh take on one of William Shakespeare’s most popular and widely performed plays, The Acting Company’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a captivating, coming-of-age story that will surprise and delight! In this fast-paced, crowd-pleasing comedy, a pair of young lovers flee to an enchanted forest where a troupe of amateur actors rehearse a play. With the help of a mystical flower, the fairy king and queen’s mischievous servant Puck creates chaos for these unsuspecting humans, leading to mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, and comical transformations. Bursting with mirth, music, magic, and mayhem, this uplifting tale of illusion and love comes to life with an electric cast of New York-based artists. Directed by Risa Brainin.
