Arts & Literacy Program
Bring the arts to your school with The Weidner’s Arts & Literacy Program. The Weidner’s Education staff will visit your classroom to read the book of the show you are attending, followed by interactive activities connecting the arts, literacy, and the GBAPS curriculum.
The best part? Books will be provided to students to keep!
After signing up for a Stage Doors Series show, teachers can apply for an Arts & Literacy classroom visit at no cost. Visits are on a first-come, first serve basis. Books will be provided to students.
To Apply for an Arts & Literacy Classroom Visit – please contact Paulina Chavira at WeidnerEducation@uwgb.edu

the arts are motivating!
Arts-based field trips can boost students’ academic performance, improve school engagement, and support social-emotional well being. Art integration is a way for K-12 students to develop competencies, beliefs, and behaviors through developmental experiences – opportunities to act in the world and reflect on their experiences.
